How submissions work
Go to Author Submissions and press Begin. There are eight short steps:
- About submissions
- The Summary of Key Terms
- The full Submission Agreement, which you read to the end and agree to
- About you
- Your book: title, subgenre, word count, pitch
- Your synopsis
- Your first three chapters
- Review and submit
Your answers are saved on this device as you go, so you can come back later. Nothing is sent until you press Submit on the last step. Then we email you a 6-digit code to confirm your address (see the two codes).
No. We never charge a fee to submit, to have your work read or reviewed, or to be published, and we never require you to buy copies, services or packages (section 10 of the Submission Agreement).
Yes, all of them. Submitting gives us no rights in your book: we may only read it and evaluate it for possible publication. There is no option and no right of first refusal (section 5 of the Submission Agreement). Nothing is signed unless we both agree to a separate publishing contract.
Yes. If another publisher accepts it, please tell us promptly: your submission with us is then withdrawn (section 12).
If we make you an offer, you can decline it at any time. For 14 days after an offer, please tell us that you decline before you sign with another publisher (section 13).
Original fantasy of every kind. Standalones and series are both welcome. See the examples on Author Submissions.

What to send
- A pitch: aim for 100–300 words on what the book is and why readers will love it.
- A synopsis: 1–2 pages covering the whole story, ending included. Upload it or paste it. About 500–1,000 words is typical; we accept up to 2,000 words.
- The first three chapters: in one file, up to about 10,000 words. If chapter three runs long, stop at a natural break.
- A few details: your legal name, your email, the working title, the subgenre, the whole book's word count and whether it is finished.
Please keep your own copies of everything you send: we do not return materials (section 4.4).
- Synopsis: .docx, .pdf, .txt or .md, up to 5 MB.
- Chapters: .docx, .pdf, .txt, .md or .rtf, up to 5 MB.
- Full manuscript (only when we ask for it): .docx, .pdf, .txt, .md or .rtf, up to 20 MB.
Password-protected files, macro-enabled documents and old Office formats (such as .doc) are not accepted. Please save them as .docx or PDF.
The length of the whole book, not just the chapters you send. An approximate number is fine, for example 95000. If the book is still in progress, give your best estimate.
Yes, as separate submissions: each submission covers one book (section 4.3). One email address can send up to 2 submissions a day and 6 in 30 days.

Your codes
The confirmation code is 6 digits, like 482 913. We email it when you send your submission, to check that the address is yours. It works once, for 15 minutes, and only in the browser you submitted from.
The reference code starts with IM-, like IM-0007. It is your submission's name and never changes. It is in the receipt email we send once your submission is confirmed. You need it, with your email address, if we ask you for a revision.
Each code works for 15 minutes. On the code screen, press “Send a new code”: you can do that up to 3 times, a minute apart, and each new code replaces the old one. Enter the code in the same browser you submitted from.
After 5 wrong tries the submission is deleted and you will need to send it again. A submission whose code is never entered is deleted after 48 hours.
Look for the receipt email we sent once your submission was confirmed: searching your inbox for “IM-” usually finds it. If you still cannot find it, contact us.

Didn't get the email?
Check your spam or junk folder. Emails can take a few minutes to arrive.
- Gmail: In Gmail, also check the Promotions tab.
- Outlook: In Outlook, check the Junk folder.
- Yahoo and AOL: In Yahoo, check the Spam folder.
- iCloud Mail: In iCloud Mail, check the Junk folder.
- Proton Mail: In Proton Mail, check Spam.
School and work email systems sometimes block outside email. A personal address usually works best.
Our emails come from “Intermythos” at grau.enterprises@gmail.com. Add us to your contacts so our emails reach your inbox.
Still nothing? Ask for a new code on the code screen, and check that the address shown there is right. If it has a typo, start the submission again with the right address.

Returning with a revision
When we ask you to. We may ask for one of these:
- Revise and resubmit
- Full manuscript
- File sent again
Our request stays open for 180 days. If we send a newer request, it replaces the older one. To send a different book, use New submission instead.
On Author Submissions, choose “Returning with a revision”. Then:
- Enter your reference code (IM-…) and the email address you submitted with. If you were 13 to 17 when you first submitted, also enter your parent or guardian's email from that submission.
- Say why you are back and what changed, in up to 500 words.
- Send only what is new: a pitch, a synopsis or chapters. Anything you keep stays as you sent it before.
- Read and agree to the Submission Agreement.
- Review, submit, and confirm with the code we email you.
Once it is confirmed, our 8-week reply time starts again from that day.
The whole book in one file: .docx, .pdf, .txt, .md or .rtf, up to 20 MB. You can only send it when we have asked for it. Like everything you send us, it becomes part of your submission and is covered by the Submission Agreement (section 9.2).

What happens to your files
Only our editorial staff. Your files, your pitch and your personal details are encrypted (sealed) the moment they arrive, before anything is stored. The website cannot open them again: they are opened only on our own editorial computer.
We do not share your submission, or even the fact that you submitted, outside the editorial team, except in the limited cases in section 6.2 of the Submission Agreement.
Within 30 days after a closing event (we say no, you decline an offer, you withdraw, or we withdraw an offer), we delete your submission and every copy we hold (section 7.2). A copy in an automated backup is never opened and is overwritten within 90 days (section 7.3).
We keep only a minimal record with no text of your submission: your name and email, the title, the dates, and the record of your acceptance. It is deleted after three years (sections 7.4 and 7.6). We will never use your submission in any way other than to evaluate it (section 7.1). On request, we confirm the deletion by email (section 7.7).
Yes, at any time, with no reason needed and no penalty (section 12.3). Email us with your book's title in the subject line: the address is in section 22 of the Submission Agreement.
For authors and readers
Privacy
Your name, your email, your age confirmation, the book's title, the submission itself and the record of your acceptance; for authors aged 13 to 17, also the parent or guardian's name, email and acceptance. Nothing else, unless you include it yourself, for example in your pitch (section 16.2).
We do not sell or rent personal information or use it for advertising (section 16.6).
More in our Privacy Policy.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see, correct or delete it. Email us at the address in section 22 of the Submission Agreement, or contact us. See also our Privacy Policy.

Age and parent or guardian rules
- 18 or older: you submit and agree to the Submission Agreement on your own.
- 13 to 17: you can submit, and a parent or legal guardian must also agree.
- Under 13: we cannot accept a submission, even with a parent's help (section 3.4).
Fill in the “About you” step together: your parent or guardian gives their full name and email and ticks the box to agree on your behalf. After you submit and enter your own code, we email them their own 6-digit code, which is entered on the same device to confirm.
We do not read your submission until they have confirmed (section 3.3). They receive copies of our emails to you, and any future publishing contract would need their signature too (section 3.5).
